Curved
Volumes in FloCAD compartments

: TD Direct를 사용하여 FloCAD
Compartments의 유체 용적 곡선 메쉬를 생성하는 경우에는
SINDA/FLUINT 및 TD버전 6.0의
최신 패치를 설치하십시오. 그 외의 경우에는 버그를 무시하고 사용이 가능합니다. 기존 V6.0에서 발견된 버그 문제가 해결 되었습니다.(V5.8에는 존재하지 않는 버그입니다.)

If you are using TD Direct to create curved meshes for
the fluid volumes in FloCAD Compartments, please install the latest
patches of Version 6.0 of both SINDA/FLUINT and Thermal Desktop.

A bug has been discovered that is corrected by those
patches. The problem was introduced with V6.0; V5.8 was not affected.

If you are not using Compartments, or if you are not
using TD Direct curved elements, you can disregard this notice.

If you used curved elements only for thermal surfaces
and solids, and not for Compartment fluid volumes, you can also
disregard this notice.

(1) DCH values on HTP Compartment ties (and not other
HTP ties) will be wrong if curved elements were used for the analytic
volume ("solid") mesh. The DCH values were too high by a
factor of up to 6, meaning heat transfer coefficients were
under-predicted by a factor of about 6. DCH characteristic
length values are only used for single-phase regime for
fluid-to-wall heat transfer. Neither boiling nor condensing regimes are
affected.

(2) Tank volumes and liquid-vapor plane locations will
also be wrong, but only if multiple volumes were used to define a
single Compartment, and even then
only both curved and flat elements were used for
the fluid volume occupied by that Compartment. If you had only used
curved elements, or you had only used just flat elements to define the
fluid volumes, then you can disregard this part of the issue.

While the circumstances under which these errors would
occur are rare, we wanted to make sure you were advised to be safe. We
apologize for any inconvenience.
